    On completion of the course, the trainee will be capable of; designing high-productivity processes and making CNC programs for 2-axes turning 3-axes milling considering maximum spindle utilization, cycle time, machining cost, tool cost, part quality; generating shop documents; using a CAD/CAM software.

    Productivity specialist ­ Tool making
    Using a CAD/CAM software to import or create CAD models, make CNC programs for 3D milling parts of plastic moulds, die casting dies, foundry patterns, forging dies, etc.

    Method of skills training
    CNC machining is all about motion, involves multiple disciplines of engineering, and is therefore difficult to teach on the blackboard and through lectures. To improve students’ understanding and compress learning time, all learning in the course is through multi-media software: lectures using multi-media teachware, followed by hands-on exercises on CAD/CAM software and cutting on CNC machines.
