    The two years ITI Grinder course aims at developing the skills of Grinder Mechanical, to design and to draft mechanical components. The course is designed with Theoretical and Practical Sessions.

    Eligibility - Class X or Equivalent with Maths & Science with minimum of 45% in Mathematics for General Students & 35% in Mathematics for Christian minority ST/OBC students and have sufficient knowledge of English

    Course Content
    Course syllabus is according to the ITI (NCVT) norms. It is a two year Programme and the syllabus is divided into two parts 1st year Syllabus and 2nd year Syllabus;
    1st year Syllabus
    1st year Syllabus consists: safety, introduction, marking and marking tools, Hand tools, measurement and measuring tools. Grinding machines, grinding wheels and grinding processes. Limits and tits, Heat treatment, Holding tools. Basic formulas of math and science along with Engg. Material, Metals and metal extraction, Heat Treatment processes etc. Fundamental knowledge of Engineering Drg. Blue print reading, symbols, geometrical symbols and toleracing. Employability Skills: It covers English literacy, IT Literacy, communication Skills, entrepreneurship skills, productivity occupational safety health and environment education, Labour welfare, legislation and quality tools.
    2nd year Syllabus
    2nd year Syllabus consists Cylindrical Grinding machine, balancing, tuning and dressing of grinding wheel, Vernier caliper, micrometer etc. Mounting of grinding wheel, coolant, Limit and fits & tolerance, calculation of RPM and S.FPM gauges, CNC, DTI, centerless grinding, Lapping & Honing, Surface finish Milling, cutter grinding.

    Highlights of the Programme
    There is a well-established and organized Grinding ship, where all types of grinding machines are always at the disposal of trainees. Trainees are allowed to handle the machines independently after acquiring sufficient knowledge and experience. Enough material for grinding is available. Trainees acquire the required level of confidence and they can join any firm immediate after the training.
    Audio-Visual, Factory visits are frequently arranged to benefit the trainees. Games sports and extra curriculum activities are encouraged to keep trainees fit and fresh.

    Job Areas
    Grinders are required by the precision component manufacturing companies, where surface finish and close toleracing is required. Almost all the Machines Producing Companies need them. Every manufacturing workshop has grinding shop. Railways, Automobile industries, Aeroplanes, Ship building companies etc. need highly accurate and very good finished components. So the grinder shall never face the scarcity of the job.
