OFFSET PRINTING 1 Year Don Bosco Course (Printing)

The one year Don Bosco certified course aims at developing the skills of Offset Printing: Pre and post press offset printing training programmes. The course is designed with Theoretical and Practical Sessions. The theory inputs consist of: Printing Technology, Basic Maths and science, and communicative English. The trainees have access to offset Printing machine shop to learn and study operate on different machines in prepress and post press operations and processes. It will enable the candidates to associate leaning easily and to enter the job market more competently.

INSPECTION & QUALITY CONTROL (IQC) (Don Bosco)

The one year IQC course aims at developing the skills of students, to learn and study operation on different machines and components developed and developed for our clints.

Course Content
Introduction: measurement , measuring standards, metric and yard standards, kinds of inspection, specification, need of inspection, Measuring and types of measurement, measuring instruments, Linear measuring instruments: Vernier caliper, height gauge, depth gauge, micrometers, various kinds of micrometers, dial indicators, angle measuring instruments, angle and tapes measuring devices, limit fit and tolerance , surface finish and surface symbols, geometrical tolerance, gauges, various kinds of gauges. slip gauges, special techniques of thread measuring and gear measuring. Various kinds of thread and gears and their uses, Foundary inspection.

Highlights of the Programme
Well equipped measuring lab consisting of almost all types of modern measuring instruments from simple to sophisticate. Sufficient numbers of jobs for measuring exercises are available. Actual machine components are used as measuring exercises. Suitable surface plates, v- blocks, ample blocks and centre devices and other measuring accessories are available. Ample of time is spent in the workshop on the actual jobs manufacturing. so that sufficient knowledge and skill is attained regarding manufacturing processes. Engineering drawing is taught at a much higher level orthographic views in IST angle and third angle projections Isometric views, manufacturing drawings with surface symbols, Blue print reading etc. with respect to calculations is also taught. so as to tackle the w/s problems by means of calculations.

Job Areas
After completion of the above course, trainees may be absorbed in any machine building or machine parts manufacturing company. Automobile industry, ship building and aeronautics have the sufficient demand of the trained and educated inspectors. They may also be absorbed in the purchase, planning, designing, quality control, quality assurance department etc. in any industry.
